It was created over nfs by arcinfo running on a Sun machine. I have no
idea why it would have those permissions, let alone the invalied UID/GID.

Suggestions anyone?

Last time I saw anything remotely like this, I had to reboot to single-user mode and fsck the partition. Afterwards, I was able to rm the file without problem.
