i got my xerox 3110 working
i downloaded foomatic-rip and foomatic-gswrapper to my /usr/local/bin
i also dload Samsung-ML-1210-gdi.ppd into /usr/local/lib
chmod 755 for both files
edit my printcap
lp|Xerox Phaser 3110:\
:lp=/dev/ulpt0:\
:af=/usr/local/lib/Samsung-ML-1210-gdi.ppd:\
:if=/usr/local/bin/foomatic-rip:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
:mx#0:sh:
# i wonder if i ever need the gswrapper
restart my lpd
send a printjob
lpr -Plp -Jdocs /etc/printcap
/etc/printcap printed and done
printing with firefox
i need to adjust top margin 1" and left margin 0.7"
its printing nicely but the header is missing
next need to make sure all the pcs could print to this printer
