I feel very happy when I saw in the nvidia site the drivers for linux
and of course for FREEBSD, and I need to Know what about ATI and
FREEBSD(linux not have problems) drivers because I will acquire a new
machine and I need to decide between a ATI or a NVIDIA card for my box
and I need to have 3D ACCELERATION. Which should be my choice. _______________________________________________

If we get xfree 4.4 imported there is support for all the new ati and
nvidia cards(I think all nvidia, I know all ati). Ati has had the speed
crown since the 9500 or 9700 came out, but I heard nvidia will be
reclaiming it in a few months. I would recommend the ati for 3d work,
but not on an nforce board. If you plan to get an nforce board you have
to get an nvidia card untill there is an updated driver for the nforce
boards. If anyone knows different about ati on nforce boards please let
me know.

XFree86 4.4 STILL won't support 3d on the cards you list above. You need drivers
from ATI or nVidia to do that, and right now nVidia is the only company
releasing drivers for FreeBSD.
