Look at it this way.
If someone installed the 4.9 release, from a set of disks they bought in a store, and then they had a question about it, I might want to help them figure out their problem. Because there is a RELENG_4_9_0_RELEASE tag, I can look at the files that produced their release. It makes no sense that anyone would download those files to install from, but some people can actually read the source files.
It's very clear now. I guess I was just looking at things as they related to upgrading
one's system. Thanks for following up with your explanations.
