It turns out that FreeBSD cannot assign an IRQ to my USB controller(s): # dmesg | grep uhci uhci0: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> port 0xe000-0xe01f irq 11 at device 16.0 on pci0 uhci0: Could not allocate irq device_probe_and_attach: uhci0 attach returned 6 uhci0: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> port 0xe400-0xe41f irq 10 at device 16.1 on pci0 usb0: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> on uhci0 uhci1: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> port 0xe800-0xe81f irq 11 at device 16.2 on pci0 uhci1: Could not allocate irq device_probe_and_attach: uhci1 attach returned 6 Under Linux 2.4.22 on the same box, IRQ 10 is shared between my WinTV PVR card and a USB UHCI at I/O 0xe000; and IRQ 11 is shared between my GeForce 2 card, PCI modem, and a USB UHCI at I/O 0xe400 - with no conflicts, as far as I can tell. Is there any way I can coax FreeBSD into letting these devices share IRQs 10 and 11?
