I can't remember exactly why, but trust me, it will work. > But why does it sets it to UDMA33, but not to UDMA66? Have you actually tried it yet? It should automatically set it to the drive's highest capability (controller allowing). Frankly, I've never seen a DVD drive, or any other optical drive for that matter, capable of DMA66, nor would it even need to be (33 is the highest I've seen). In any event, give it a try, I'm sure it will work.
