Is there a way to disable the hyperthreading in 4.8-STABLE or 4.9-PRERELEASE? I'd like to be able to test with and without HTT enabled to see whether it's actually helping or not.
You have to compile a kernel with and without the options SMP, APIC_IO and HTT. You can test if you're running with HTT by examining the output of 'sysctl hw.ncpu'.
