You will have to read afterwards the same 8GB over and over again to
make the drive believe that you want to have these 8GB faster.

and do it randomly. disk is for sure smart enough to not cache long linear reads .


How to make sure that the data is really cached?
There is no way.
true.

That's why i don't like such solution. And such drive is very expensive.
