...of "freezing" ports - why? Whenever we are waiting for the new release of FreeBSD, now is 8.3, ports are "frozen". There are no updates and in case of 8.3 coming release is time about three months. Could someone explain, please why is this "freezing" very important because soon after release came out there will be soooooooo many ports for update. On my computaer I spent about two or three days for updating and update is also on the new release.
