Are you sure you really updated /etc/ttys correctly? ttyu0 "/usr/libexec/getty std.115200" dialup on secure What does 'ps ax | grep getty' say? Something like this: 1416 u0 Is+ 0:00.24 /usr/libexec/getty std.9600 ttyu0 or like this: 1416 u0 Is+ 0:00.24 /usr/libexec/getty std.115200 ttyu0 Then, check that std.115200 is indeed in /etc/gettytab. Save for getty, I don't know what would reset the speed to 9600...
