I'm happy to report back that finally I have horde4 + all apps now running including the elusive mail app (IMP) which would never let me login. I stuck with IMAP-UW which I found easier to configure. Maybe I'll look at Dovecot later, but it has a lot of configuring. Many thanks for all the pointers! (^_^) Happy trails, Jack L.
