This link explains it pretty well: http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=21010
Someplace between Firefox 3.5 and 4.0 I changed from diablo to openjdk.
It was 3.6. Check the archives for considerable gnashing of teeth as we tried to figure out how to get Java working again.
ln -s /usr/local/openjdk6/jre/lib/IcedTeaPlugin.so ~/.mozilla/plugins/ was the missing step for me.
Free bonus: if you use Chromium, it works there, too: ln -s /usr/local/openjdk6/jre/lib/IcedTeaPlugin.so /usr/local/share/chromium/ Regards, John Levine, jo...@iecc.com, Primary Perpetrator of "The Internet for Dummies", Please consider the environment before reading this e-mail. http://jl.ly _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
