You sure you didn't have /usr on a different partition and forget to tell sysinstall?
-------- Sorry for top-posting, Android won't let me quote. There's a bug report on it! On 6 Jul 2010 10:38, "Mike Barnard" <[email protected]> wrote: Hi All, I have never encountered anything like this before and I am little puzzled. After upgrading my FreeBSD 8.0 RELEASE, I ended up with FreeBSD 8.1-PRERELEASE and an empty /usr/local directory. It wiped out my /usr/local directory! I did nothing out of the usual on this upgrade. Any one experienced the same thing? How do I safely get /usr/local populated again? -- Mike Of course, you might discount this possibility, but remember that one in a million chances happen 99% of the time. ------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]" _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[email protected]"
