ok, 8.0 installation went fine.

On reboot I get this panic (typed by hand):

        address not aligned

        Automatic reboot in 15 seconds

Maybe marius@ can help you.

But I would also give 7.2 a try. 7.2-RELEASE was the first release to support Blade 1500 IIRC.
