Thanks, I can start mpdscribble with my user account (that is in 'wheel' and 'operator' groups') if I set in the conf file the location of the pidfile in my homedir.
But if I start mpdscribble with the /etc/rc.conf (at startup), I get the error message though this change. Which user is used to lauch script set in the /etc/rc.conf file ? The goal is to launch mpdscribble at startup. --- En date de : Jeu 19.11.09, J Sisson <sisso...@gmail.com> a écrit : > De: J Sisson <sisso...@gmail.com> > Objet: Re: FreeBSD port : audio/mpdscribble > À: "Alexandre L." <axel...@ymail.com> > Cc: "FreeBSD Question" <freebsd-questions@freebsd.org> > Date: Jeudi 19 Novembre 2009, 17h37 > On Thu, Nov 19, 2009 at 10:15 AM, > Alexandre L. <axel...@ymail.com> > wrote: > > > mpdscribble: Failed to create pidfile > /var/run/mpdscribble.pid: Permission > > denied > > Here my conf file /usr/local/etc/mpdscribble.conf : > > # The location of the pid file. mpdscribble > saves its process id there. > > pidfile = /var/run/mpdscribble.pid > > > > Just a shot in the dark, but can't you change the pidfile > to a user-writable > location in the conf file and save yourself the permissions > headaches? > Something like $HOME/mpdscribble.pid ?
