Ha, yes, the "shoot in the foot" sysctl :)
Shouldn't be needed though - I was labelling a boot disk about half an
hour ago and nothing else than pure 'glabel label' was required.
There must be something else that stops it.

Maybe running glabel with -v will help the OP (hopefully with a more
detailed error message)
