I agree.

Check the interface on the device that connects into their network. You
will likely see all sorts of interface errors.

Try having them force to 100/Full, and you do the same at your end.

it's VERY common when other end is cisco switch ;) and nothing helps except using other NIC.

i have that problem with the ISP one place - the only card that worked well was ordinary RTL8139.
