Hi all, I needed to install a parallel CDRW on my box, so I updated my source to 4.8-PRE and recompiled (didnt go with the patch for 4.x). I am running into a very strange behaviour where my regular CDROM is being detected at boot time as always /dev/acd0 AND again as cd0. I am unable to control my other "Backpack cd-rw".. any feedback would be appreciated :)
