SCSI normally reports 3 things when it encounters an error (particularly disk errors): Sense Key (SK), Additional Sense Code (ASC), and Additional Sense Code Qualifier (ASCQ). What appears in the below screenshot is a large amount of sense data, but I can't make heads or tails out of it, because it's written in a driver-centric manner ("Encl PD" means nothing to me). I can read part of the CDB data, but it doesn't tell me much. Scott Long might know. http://digitalfreaks.org/~lavalamp/20081023_server3_screen_dump.png You should try asking the system manufacturer if they know what any of the data means. -- | Jeremy Chadwick jdc at parodius.com | | Parodius Networking http://www.parodius.com/ | | UNIX Systems Administrator Mountain View, CA, USA | | Making life hard for others since 1977.
