Hi Alex,

tried to install xmms and all the suff related on my
pc (for kde)...

failed during installation: even after (-f)orcing
pkg_add -> perl (previous release in tbz) and
Xfree***.

maybe it's of some help.........

I can just say, that I did the very same this night and just now I am using KDE 3.1 and xmms. So please report more specific errors to track down your problem.
