I am running freebsd 5.0, and when I tried to run newfs on a floppy, the machine complete crashes. I ran the following commands:
# fdformat /dev/fd0 # disklabel -w -r /dev/fd0 fd1440 # newfs /dev/fd0 on the newfs command, the machine crashes. Unfortunatley there is nothing in the logs about the crash.
