im running FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p3, with KDE, cups, and most current opera. i can print from everything else i use (which is i guess just kmail... but

if i go to the KDE printer manager, i can send a sucessful test page, but
opera just quietly prints nothing. where should i start looking to find
out where the breakdown is?

thanks,

I've never found a way to make non-KDE apps print from the KDE print manager. My solution has been to print to pdf and then load that into Kpdf and print from there. If there's a better way to do it, I'd love to learn how.

Can't you setup KDE / your apps to print straight out to a printer using lpr?
