I've downloaded and burned the boot CD for the i386 6.2-RELEASE. I've used the CD to install a very well running system on my laptop, but it halts during boot when I try to install with the same CD on my desktop PC. The last line it outputs before halting is the following: acd0: DVDR <PLEXTOR DVDR PX-708A/1.12> at ata1-master UDMA33 The install doesn't actually crash - I can still enable / disable Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock, and the Ctrl-Alt-Space shortcut works.
