OK, make sure everything required by kdelibs is up-to-date (with portupgrade -R kdelibs or similar). It is buildable on a clean 4.x system, although since 4.x is EOL in a couple of weeks you might prefer to spend your time on an upgrade to a supported version like 6.2. Kris
