Forget your ISP's DNS servers and run your own. I use bind on my firewall, and have the DHCP server hand out the firewall address as the DNS server. Not what you asked originally, but it works like a charm, especially when Comcast's DNS servers suddenly stop working. Try running /usr/sbin/named to get started. Otherwise, man named.
