Hello, let me see if i can describe my problem.. i currently am using putty to access my bsd box from windows 2000. Using an editor such as vi, i may edit a file and exit vi. When that happens i would like the terminal to return to its original state. instead it leaves some of the file left of the screen. what i want is for the terminal to return to the same state it was in before entering vi.
how can i do this? what is this called?
