You can always boot from the FreeBSD installation CDROM and interrupt the loader at the `spinner' by pressing space. You should see something like: >> FreeBSD/i386 BOOT Default: 0:ad(0,a)/kernel boot: At the boot: prompt enter: 0:ad(0,a)/kernel and the CDROM loader will boot from your disk.
