Trying to get the sound to work on my Compaq Presario M2000.

Now uname -a gives:

1) Don't compile sound support into your kernel, remove any
"device sound/snd" or whatsoever from there.
2) Don't "kldload snd_driver" . Use "kldload sound" and
  "kldload snd_atiixp"
3) If the above doesn't work, post your kernel config here, also the
  output of "vmstat -i"

OK. I have tried 1) and 2), and still don't get it to work. Kernel config is attached, and "vmstat -i" gives

possession# vmstat -i
