Yes it is possible. The first step is to check if the
proper configuration entry is present.
In Thunderbird, from the menu bar, choose
Edit, Preferences, Advanced, Config Editor.
What version of Thunderbird do you have? I have 1.0.7 and I don't have
a Config Editor. I would really like to implement this.
