Most likely you need to update the src and recompile: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/i386/i386/pmap.c.diff?r1=1.494 .2.9&r2=1.494.2.10&f=h The link above is where the problem occurs once you enable SMP Kernel you'll receive Fatal Trap Error.
