Hi I tried using freebsd floppies ,, by using that I could boot into sysinstall ,, but the system doesn't see any disk devices other than the USB disk which is 1Mb size.
I tried to use custom kernel on the floppies and tweak the ISP driver, to prevent the stall when the driver hangs during boot and get the timeout, that with no result. the isp driver which is said to support the Qlogic 2312, is broken, it doesn't work. kveðja / best regards Gestur -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Linton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 28. desember 2005 15:26 To: Gestur A. Grjetarsson Cc: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: FreeBSD on IBM Blade Center? I tried to boot a 6.0 Installation CD on a HS20 Blade. I always get "can't load 'kernel'" from the cdloader. If I type "lsdev" it shows me no "cd devices"; a "ls" brings "open '/' failed:.." and the LED of the cdrom-drive stays dark. The BladeCenter is using a USB-CDROM and I think this is actually the problem of booting a Blade from a freeBSD CD. Did you try a Network-Based installation? How far did you come with your installation? On Wed, Dec 28, 2005 at 01:32:44PM -0000, Gestur A.
