Hello I am trying to install grub as a boot loader on my disk. I installed it from ports. When I try to install it on the MBR I get the error
Running "install /boot/grub/stage1 (hd0) /boot/grub/stage2 p /boot/grub/menu.l st "... failed Error 29: Disk write error I tried to install it with 'grub-install '(hd0)'' and with grub -> root (hd0,a) -> setup (hd0). I tried deinstalling the port and installing from sources (version 0.97). I don't think the problem is with menu.lst since I am using it with linux (identical file) and it works. Anyone a guess?
