A quick look at man ips seems to show that that is its own thing.
You may wish to email the driver writer at the bottom of the man
page for this to ask about compatibility etc.
I do know that aac and asr based drivers for Adaptec cards do have
CLI RAID configuration and utility software that runs on FreeBSD
