what takes time is to build INDEX (portupgrade -U) due to large
number of ports; reduce the ports, reduce the time to run
"portsdb -U".  both "portsdb -u" & "pkgdb- F" are quite fast.


i will leave it up to you the decision not to create new indexes
after every ports tree update.
