The manpage seems to indicate otherwise:

HISTORY
   The eject command appeared in FreeBSD 2.X
FreeBSD 4.6.2                     Jul 1, 1996                    FreeBSD 4.6.2

I still suggest a command-line flag to do the opposite of "eject."  :)
