Yes I installed them through ports. I have looked at imap-uw's website and
read about it in "FreeBSD Unleashed", but I couldn't find anything.
Whit Qpopper I also followed "FreeBSD Unleashed" to enable SSL, but I don't
know if it works since it only bind()'s to port 110.
