Well, this sounds to me like a "and why didn't you find an answer to that one?" kind of problem.
I've inherited some FreeBSD machines. And with a moderate amount of looking I haven't been able to turn up what kind of software package management tools are used with FreeBSD (as in pkgadd, swinstall, rpm, & so forth ..).
