Yes, I have looked through the apcupsd package. Thank you for pointing it out. It is very similar to NUT, but only for APC devices (as the name implies :-) Have you looked at apcupsd-3.8.5/distributions/suse/halt.in ? It does to SuSe what I would like to with FreeBSD.
