Hi, Siegbert: Thanks for the reply. No, KDM works fine. The message is annoying since I log console messages to /var/log/console.log. But can you please point me to how kdm was called (who uses /etc/ttys and call these getty programs)? A pointer to the source code or a script? I would either fix kdm or write a wrapper to get rid of that.
