Dear FreeBSD, I just upgraded to 4.6-STABLE on klentaq.com (from 4.5-RC, I think), but I can't send any mail out. /var/log/maillog shows a lot of message lines like the long one below, which I have wrapped.
I have, as far as I know, a fully-registered domain. What is a PTR record, and why won't it resolve? Is this something I can fix, or should I be calling my ISP? Why does it say "localhost.com"? This doesn't look right. In an effort to fix this, I installed sendmail-8.12.5 from the ports. I did mergemaster more than once. And now I start sendmail with the provided sendmail.sh. This helped, since without one or more of these steps, I couldn't even receive mail. When I put in a .forward file, my incoming mail does get forwarded (to where I am now) just fine! (Now, I try removing "localhost.com" from my relay-domains file, wondering if mergemaster put it there.) This makes it worse, even. Now it says "Child exited 67. User unknown", even after stopping and starting the sendmail. Oops now it says savemail panic. I think I'll put "localhost.com" back in there. Help!
