Creating a new branch is not really necessary and was intended as fallback if some ports had problems with the new version. The www/py-djangorestframework36 is a remainder when www/py-django18 was still in the ports tree. Now that Django 1.8 is gone, there's imho no particular reason to keep www/py-djangorestframework36.
