Sure-- I very nearly put a footnote in suggesting awk & make as
additional candidates.
But I figured it was a bit of a moot point, as I agree with Mark's
point that adding something like perl or python to the base results in
more bloat and potential difficulty whenever people want to upgrade
those languages past the version which shipped with the base system.
