As maintainer of a (likely rarely-used) port (x11-wm/piewm), I received a note from pkg-fallout, requested & received advice on how to adrdess it, filed a bug report & attached a maintainer-approved patch; got some advice on a better fix, updated the bug report with the better fix ... and have now received at least 3 more notices of the same failure on the same port... It's https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=248859, in case you wanted to see for yourself. As I'm not a committer, it's not clear to me what (else) I can do to help fix this.
