My keyboard only worked after 'pkg add > xf86-input-keyboard-1.8.0_2.txz'. The version pkg fetches is 11120kB, the > one I added is 11124kB. This is caused by your use of the vt console driver with a Unicode keymap containing characters >= 0x100. I have annalyzed this and created a PR with patch for the port: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=193192 As a workaround, you may start the X server with a US keyboard by issuing kbdcontrol -l us just before starting X. You'll need to select an appropriate keymap under X, then. Regards, STefan PS: This is a problem with the xorg-input-keyboard port and if it is not fixed within that port, there will be a huge number of users affected, when 10.1 is released. This must be fixed! _______________________________________________ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-ports-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
