Can you please explain the most common incompatibilities you experienced from dports? FYI, I have added these two shims for FreeBSD: http://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/base/250877 http://svnweb.freebsd.org/changeset/base/250878 With these two shims, I was able to build older FreeBSD source trees just fine.
