If you get any answers for the port checksum question, that's great, but
I'm happy enough now.
Checksum is correct for me. May be you need to update your ports tree in 
first place?
Anyway, you may apply new checksum like this:

cd /usr/ports/math/sc && make makesum

when your sc-7.16.tar.gz already placed into /usr/ports/distfiles.
