Are the faults you're fixing specific to -CURRENT, like affecting features or changes specific to 9-CURRENT? If not, try -STABLE in the way I've proposed -- you need to do that twice: 1 - before your fixes and see if the problem reproduces; and 2 - if it does, try again after your fixes -- if your fixes solve the problem on -STABLE, that will likely work with -CURRENT too.
