Simon, It's nice to have an e-mail from you. And since I'm highly interested to have most recent stable development tools and libraries on FreeBSD, I'm willing to take part in porting if necessary. So if you ever run into problems with this (technical or just lack of time), I probably will be able to help. Do not hesitate to ask me. Having recent boost is top priority for me.
