have you contacted gphoto authors about this? I'm sure they will be
interested fixing this for the next release.
FYI
I joined the gphoto developers list and submitted the same mail there.
They have included the patch.
I've got an S5 on the way for myself... will be interesting to see if it
has the same behaviour.
