I think it's very reasonable, and well in keeping with FreeBSD
tradition, to delay upgrading to a new release of ported software
until the maintainer is convinced that it's safe to do so.
Generally speaking I agree, but when it happens, like it did in this
case, that a new version is committed which has severe bugs and is
immediately superceded by a corrected one, I think it's good to move to it.
